1 Tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
10 fresh curry leaves
1 sliced shallot
½ teaspoon turmeric
1 litre buttermilk
1. Heat the coconut oil in a wok on medium heat and add the mustard and cumin seeds and the
curry leaves.
2. Wait for the seeds to pop and splutter and then add the shallot and turmeric and cook until the
shallot is soft and translucent.
3. Lower the temperature to low and slowly add the buttermilk. Heat through.
4. Enjoy as a sauce for plain rice.
